Lamin Seroui – Vocals, Percussion and Guitar
Lamin Seroui was born in Algeria in 1974. He started his education as singer and percussionist in Constantine where he studied the musical traditions of Africa and the Middle East. In 1998 he moved to Spain and continued his formation under the instruction of excellent masters such as the singer Ángela Muro and the Brazilian musician Alex Oliveira. In the Theatre of the Alhambra he meanwhile realised his formation as sound engineer. Andalusia became Lamins second home and he since found himself in a balancing act between two continents and cultures - Africa (Algeria) and Europe (Spain). As a consequence of his passion and fascination of music of Portuguese language, he initiated the Project "Paisagens do Brasil y Cabo Verde" with the trio Oshumaré. Lamin Seroui also forms part of the Mediterranean Samba Club in Granada and he is a habitual collaborator in concerts of the prestigious Fado-Trio Minha Lua.
Alice Martin – Vocals
The soprano Alice Martin grew up in Zürich, Switzerland, where she started her musical education with five years playing violin. A few years later she could start singing lessens with the famous opera singer Danielle Zuber and 2005 she entered the juvenile choir of the Opera of Zürich and could participate in several performances of Operas as Carmen, Tosca and the Knight of the Rose in Zürich and Vienna. Besides she participated in two discography projects of MusicVision in Küsnacht. Alice Martin took the art profile at Highscool and immersed her vocal techniques with the soprano and vocal coach Liv Kriesi. She began to work on her expression in different music genres such as Jazz, Soul, Blues and Folk and studied music theory, harmony improvisation and composing with referees such as Annette von Goumoëns y Co Streiff. In 2012 she recorded her first album with own compositions in the recording studio “Mirrorlake” (http://www.mirrorlake.ch). In 2013 she moved to Spain, Granada where she studied Spanish guitar and educated herself in the music stiles Bossa, Bolero, Fado and Flamenco accompanied by the famous Spanish singer Vicky Cruz.
Gabriel Pancorbo – Guitar
The musician, composer and music educator Gabriel Pancorbo was born in Granada, Andalucia in 1975. He studied Guitar first in Granada and later in Toulouse with famous teachers such as the Brazilian musician Guga Murray and the French guitarist Jul Frayssinet. He continued his formation in Lissabon with Pedro Gomes and specialized also in Portuguese Viola. He then travelled to Rio de Janeiro where he immersed himself in sound quality and playing techniques with Zé Murray (Chico Buarque y Cuarteto em Cy).
He composed, among others, pieces for contemporary dancing for the company LATERAL Danza and for the project of “experimental guitar playing and improvisation” LuaNur.
Gabriel Pancorbo currently takes part in a project of music from Cape Verde in France called “Serenata”, he is founder and guitarist of the famous Fado-trio Minha Lua (www.minhalua.com) as well as of the trio Oshumaré.
